FAQs about weekly classes

Do I have to register in advance? No, you can drop in to any class. All classes are designed to be self-contained, so you do not need to have attended the previous classes, and if you miss a few you can still come back without feeling "out of the loop".
Do I have to come to each class? No, come and go as you please.
Do I have to sit on the floor? You can sit in a chair or on a cushion on the floor. Most of the branch sites do not have cushions available, so you will need to bring your own.
What should I wear? Whatever is comfortable to you.
Do the classes cost money? We request a donation for most classes we offer in order to cover our expenses -- such as rent, utility, teacher care, and other basic needs. If you become a regular at the Center, consider joining the Monthly Members program, a program that enables you to pay by the month and gives free attendance to classes and most day courses, and discounts on special events. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
Do you teach what Buddha taught? Yes, we would never teach anything but. At the same time, all our introductory classes are designed to be very practical and user-friendly, for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.
