Volunteering
Dharmakirti Center is run entirely by volunteers and donations. Volunteers work hard at Dharmakirti to bring you classes, events and branch locations in your area. You can help out in little ways or in big ways, it's up to you - just email us to find out what you can do to help.
Your Financial Support Helps
Dharmakirti Center is an entirely self-supporting organization that does not receive funds from any state or private agency - including our umbrella organization, the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. That means everything at the Center, from the rent and utilities to supporting our Resident Teacher, comes from the kind donations of our students and benefactors. In-Kind Donations Make a Difference
Helping out the Center can also mean providing items from our wish list. DBC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. For anything you donate, you can receive a receipt for tax purposes. Wish List of special needs or regularly used items
- HP Officejet printer ink cartridges - 88 or 88XL (colored ink or black ink)
- Paper, including plain white paper and white card stock for ink jet printer
- Gift certificates : Costco, Office Max/Office Depot, Fred Meyer, Trader Joes
- "Forever" postage stamps
- Used printer cartridges for recycling
New Dharma Residence Needs
- Gently used futon
- Gently used or new area rugs
- 2 end tables
Resident Teacher Support
- Living expenses for one month: $300 or any amount
- Travel expenses to International Festivals: Any amount welcomed
- Teacher Training Program course fees: approximately $400; any amount welcomed
- Northwest Dharma Celebration expenses: approximately $200; any amount welcomed
- US Spring Festival expenses: approximately $800; any amount welcomed

Monthly Membership
"A beautiful gift for future generations..."
You can become a Monthly Member and pledge your financial support each month. There are benefits to being a member! For one monthly fee, you get to attend all the classes you like and depending on the level of your support, you may get discounts on special events.
